DBpedia scenario

DBpedia is a community effort to annotate and make the data stored at Wikipedia accessible by means of a semantic-web ontology. DBpedia comprises a number of different versions due to a number of changes in its conceptualisation. When a new version of DBpedia is devised, the new ontology may be populated by means of two processes: extracting and transforming the data from Wikipedia, ignoring the data of previous ontology versions that are already populated; or performing the data translation task from a previous version to this new one. In this case study, we explore this second process in which we perform the data translation task from a part of DBpedia v3.2 to DBpedia v3.6 by means of automatically generated SPARQL executable mappings.
